I don't. pinball isn't like a video game, it's completely random and unpredictable, with infinite variables. When converting any movie scene into a pinball mode, I try and capture as much of that original excitement as possible, by matching the pace, audio and style.īut. It's not just the computer graphics, it's the acting, the audio design and the editing that make it a thrilling experience, even today. Hard to believe anyone could be blown away by simple computer graphics back in 1982, but that's the power of movie magic. The highlight of the movie (both movies in fact) is the Lightcycle scene. I'm loving every single nano second I'm spending in this digital world. Only a Brit can do these themes the proper justice they deserve. I also have my sights set on that other English gem, Monty Python. Queen are my favorite band, and the only music pin I would want to play often. My original vision for the game was much more exciting and fun, and so this is the game I'm also working on. It's now reappeared as a totally different beast from the Pinball Brothers, which has absolutely nothing to do with me. But the plug was pulled before the game was finished. Now I'm not a fan of music pins but I had some great ideas for Queen when I was working at Heighway Pinball, and I started to develop a pretty decent game. I'll even throw in stuff from the rubbish Bond. The game will also feature content from every Bond film, up to the last one. To celebrate just how proud I am to be wonderfully British, I'm working on 2 English projects right now - both of which I've already spend hundreds and hundreds of hours working on.įirst is a massive upgrade to my Bond 50 game, which requires me to watch ALL the Bond movies again, capturing all the quotes I missed the first time. We are annoyingly good at everything, which is why we are so often portrayed as the 'bad guys' in American movies. I can't tell you how awesome it is being British, or English more specifically.
